You'll need to look closely at this photo to spot the extremely skinny house that's been squeezed between these two buildings.

Although Warsaw's Keret House is narrower (measuring just 72 centimetres at its narrowest point), it reaches a width of 122 centimetres at its facade. So, Valencia's offering actually holds the record for the 'narrowest facade in Europe', measuring just 107 centimetres wide.

You'll find La Fachada Más Estrecha de Europa in Plaza Lope de Vega, just steps from the city's cathedral.

⏩️ Fun fact: When I was learning Spanish, 'estrecha' was one word I instantly remembered because it sounds like the complete opposite of what it means - to 'stretch' means to widen but 'estrecha' actually translates as 'narrow.' 😀

I probably wouldn't have visited Scarborough, had it not been for the fact that PULP were playing a gig there and my friend had managed to bag us tickets for it (it was an awesome gig by the way - Jarvis has still got it 🕺)

And, whilst British seaside resorts aren't normally my thing, I decided to stick around after the gig to have a little mooch around.
.
.
If you get the chance to do the same, make sure you take a walk up to the city's castle 🏰

Officially my favourite tree, the Monkey Puzzle is native to Chile. It is so-named because of the way its spiral arrangement of rigid needle-pointed leaves make it challenging for monkeys to climb it!

🌲Did you know? Monkey Puzzle trees can grow as tall as 50 metres and may live for more than 700 years?! 😱
.
.
I took this particular photo in Museum Gardens in York, but you can pretty much guarantee that, much like cacti, whenever I spot a Monkey Puzzle Tree on my travels, I won't be able to resist snapping a photo of it 📷😉

Going through the photos I took last year on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (for an upcoming blog post) has got me yearning to be back on the trail again.

Coastal trails can be just as challenging as those in the mountains, with precipitous descents down to deserted coves like this one, followed by steep climbs back up on to the headland. But, unlike inland trails, the views rarely leave you, so you'll be constantly reaching for your camera as you walk 📷

Apologies again that I've been absent on social media for much of the year! I vow every year to change that and then I just don't have the inclination or energy to sustain it. So, I'm making no promises this year - I shall just jump on here when I have something to share 🙂

Paxos' west coast is where you'll find its most dramatic coastal scenery, including this place - Erimitis Bay, which is now a beach.

Let me explain.
.
.
When I first came to Paxos, the beach (that you can see in this photo) never existed. It formed as a result of the cliffs collapsing in 2007. Most of the solid pieces of rock that landed down below are still there now.
.
.
The sea is deep here and the water can be choppy, so it's not one of the best beaches for families. But, it's definitely one of the island's most stunning sunbathing spots 😍
